Biogas sector in Poland
Around 300 biogas plants produce electricity in Poland from agriculture, sludge and landfill sectors. The first Polish agriculture biogas plant was built in 2005 but the agriculture sector has dynamically developed since 2010, when several national programs and relevant investment supports emerged to support biogas from agriculture. Since 2010, around 16 MW of new capacity has been installed yearly in the agricultural biogas sector. Poland has large resources of agricultural and agro-industrial feedstocks (manure, fruit and vegetables residues, breweries, sugar factories distilleries, etc.) and authorizes energy crops (maize silage represents around 20% of total agricultural feedstocks). Therefore, the sector is expected to strongly grow even more in a near future.
Biogas Plus is a supplier of biogas technology as well as turnkey biogas installations with references ranging from 5,000 to 300,000 tons of input per year. Biogas Plus has all the technology in-house for fermenting various types of organic residual flows, such as slurry, solid manure, agricultural residual flows, industrial residual flows and / or foodstuffs with an expired shelf life. The core of the company is the knowledge and know-how in the field of biogas production. In other words, how do you continuously produce as much high-quality biogas as possible from certain residual flows at the lowest possible cost. That's what it's all about in the end. Biogas Plus is convinced that its technology fits perfectly with the growing biogas sector of Poland and foresees a prosperous future in the Polish biogas sector.
